Last weekend Ray & her husband Mindaugas and their family and long time friends came to Sayulita for a vacation and to do a vow renewal! After 18 years and 5 boys, they wanted to celebrate their love 🙂 We went to a beautiful private beach, and found an awesome spot with their feet in the water to come together. They were an amazing group and I was thrilled to be able to capture the love!!
The area around Cancun Mexico is known for its beautiful cenotes, which are beautiful cave like fresh water pools. So what better spot to do an awesome trash the dress shoot! Abby & Jeff were super brave and we got some amazing shots with them fully immersed in the very cold water! LOL
I met Abby & Jeff when they came to Punta Mita for a vacation last year and had me do their engagement photos. We hit it off and I was so excited to travel to Cancun Mexico to shoot their awesome destination wedding at the beautiful Dreams Riviera Cancun Resort. Since I mostly shoot on the west coast of Mexico, it was a treat to head to the beautiful Caribbean side of the country. I had a great time getting to know all their friends and family, and despite the weather saying it was supposed to rain every day, we had perfect weather! The wedding day was beautiful, the bride was stunning, and the party went on late into the night. We also did a very cool trash the dress shoot the next day, so stay tuned for those photos!
Congrats Abby & Jeff 🙂
Last month was time for Alicia & Emmanuel to head down to Sayulita, Mexico for their destination wedding!
Alicia looked absolutely stunning in her custom wedding dress, and Emmanuel was very handsome in his cool blue suit.
The day was absolutely perfect, from the super-cute flower girls to the chandelier hanging from the arch during the ceremony.
The wedding was at the beautiful Don Pedros Palapa, the perfect destination wedding venue, and was planned and designed by the always amazing Yazmin from Sea of Dreams Weddings
Congrats Alicia & Emmanuel!!
Amy & Chris traveled to Mexico with their closest friends and family to celebrate their wedding. Family was definitely a big part of the day as Chris’s sister was the officiant and his beautiful daughters were the bridesmaids. They had a gorgeous ceremony right on the beach, a prefect way to get your feet in the sand! Then on to Don Pedros for the party!
Congrats Amy & Chris!!
Megan and Adam came down to Sayulita earlier this year to host an amazing celebration of their wedding with their closest friends and family. The wedding was at the spectacular Palapa Ganesh, which is an incredible ocean front home that really shows off the beauty of the area. I love how relaxed and intimate their beach ceremony was, with people longing on pillows and low chairs, and the party rocked with a live band. The always fabulous Yazmin of Sea of Dreams Weddings pulled the whole event together, and the day couldn’t have gone better.
Congrats Megan & Adam!!
Ashley had worked in the wedding industry for many years, and so when it came time to plan her own wedding to Jordan they decided to get out of the Bay Area and plan a destination wedding! Friemds recommended they look in Sayulita and as Ashley says, all it took was one look online at Villa Amor and they knew it was the site for them! They wanted their friends to have a fun, laid back and awesome wedding week, and it turned out perfectly! Even the rain that was forecast for the day didn’t show up. Mireya from Flor Mimo captured perfectly the style Ashley was going for of a clean, simple and modern look with a tropical touch. Her dress fit her like a tee and the guys looked awesome in their colored pants! It was a perfect day for team #cavinugus.
Congrats Ashley and Jordan!!
Last month Christina and Shawn came down to Sayulita from LA with their closest friends and family to celebrate their beautiful wedding. I knew I was going to love shooting this wedding as soon as I saw Christina’s amazing blue suede shoes!! The wedding style from the dress, to the jewelry, to the amazing flowers by Flor Mimo, to of course those napkins 🙂 pulled together to create a stunning day that fit perfectly in the bright and vibrant town of Sayulita Mexico. We were also able to do a trash the dress shoot a couple days later in the nearby village of San Pancho. Who says a bride can’t play basketball? We got amazing images, and ended on the beach with the wild clouds giving us the perfect backdrop.
Congrats Christina & Shawn!!
City Hall in San Francisco is one of my favorite buildings in the city. So I was super excited to shoot Dan & Mena’s big day there! Unfortunately we had to deal with a rainy day, but thankfully the rain stopped just in time for the couple’s first look on the steps of city hall. Mena had a super cute short wedding dress, which was perfect to show off her amazing glittery heels. I was so obsessed with those shoes! The intimate ceremony was performed under the beautiful rotunda with their closest friends and family gathered around. We then were able to capture the amazing beauty and architecture of city hall with the photos of the bride and groom.
Congratulations Dan & Mena!
Last month Alyssa and Mark and their big group of friends and family came to Puerto Vallarta to celebrate their wedding at the beautiful Fiesta Americana Hotel. Alyssa was a stunning bride thanks in part to the always amazing hair and makeup artist Jenn Chivers. The bridesmaids all looked incredible in their dresses that allowed each of them to show off their own style but still flowed together, and the groom and groomsmen held their own among the beautiful ladies. The ceremony was preformed right on the beach and then the group got to party all night long! One of the highlights of the night was when the group was treated to an incredible belly dance performance by Marcela Garcia. It definitely took the party to another level!
Congratulations Alyssa and Mark!!!
