Colorful family photos in Sayulita

The Rogers family came to Mexico to celebrate the holidays and what better way to start the New Year than with a new family photo shoot! We had a blast wandering around town finding the best colorful and beautiful spots in Sayulita, and even having an ice cream stop along the way! Love shooting this fun family 🙂

Ashley & Jordan’s modern and tropical destination wedding

Ashley had worked in the wedding industry for many years, and so when it came time to plan her own wedding to Jordan they decided to get out of the Bay Area and plan a destination wedding! Friemds recommended they look in Sayulita and as Ashley says, all it took was one look online at Villa Amor and they knew it was the site for them! They wanted their friends to have a fun, laid back and awesome wedding week, and it turned out perfectly! Even the rain that was forecast for the day didn’t show up. Mireya from Flor Mimo captured perfectly the style Ashley was going for of a clean, simple and modern look with a tropical touch. Her dress fit her like a tee and the guys looked awesome in their colored pants! It was a perfect day for team #cavinugus.
Congrats Ashley and Jordan!!

Christina & Shawn’s colorful and vibrant palapa wedding

Last month Christina and Shawn came down to Sayulita from LA with their closest friends and family to celebrate their beautiful wedding. I knew I was going to love shooting this wedding as soon as I saw Christina’s amazing blue suede shoes!! The wedding style from the dress, to the jewelry, to the amazing flowers by Flor Mimo, to of course those napkins 🙂 pulled together to create a stunning day that fit perfectly in the bright and vibrant town of Sayulita Mexico. We were also able to do a trash the dress shoot a couple days later in the nearby village of San Pancho. Who says a bride can’t play basketball? We got amazing images, and ended on the beach with the wild clouds giving us the perfect backdrop.

Congrats Christina & Shawn!!

Introducing baby Mason

Baby Mason joined his family a few weeks ago, and did amazing for his first photo shoot! His big sister (and future built in babysitter! LOL) came along and we were able to capture some wonderful photos with her new little brother. Congrats to the growing family!!

Dan & Mena get hitched at City Hall!

City Hall in San Francisco is one of my favorite buildings in the city. So I was super excited to shoot Dan & Mena’s big day there! Unfortunately we had to deal with a rainy day, but thankfully the rain stopped just in time for the couple’s first look on the steps of city hall. Mena had a super cute short wedding dress, which was perfect to show off her amazing glittery heels. I was so obsessed with those shoes! The intimate ceremony was performed under the beautiful rotunda with their closest friends and family gathered around. We then were able to capture the amazing beauty and architecture of city hall with the photos of the bride and groom.

Congratulations Dan & Mena!

Alyssa and Mark tie the knot in Puerto Vallarta!

Last month Alyssa and Mark and their big group of friends and family came to Puerto Vallarta to celebrate their wedding at the beautiful Fiesta Americana Hotel. Alyssa was a stunning bride thanks in part to the always amazing hair and makeup artist Jenn Chivers. The bridesmaids all looked incredible in their dresses that allowed each of them to show off their own style but still flowed together, and the groom and groomsmen held their own among the beautiful ladies. The ceremony was preformed right on the beach and then the group got to party all night long! One of the highlights of the night was when the group was treated to an incredible belly dance performance by Marcela Garcia. It definitely took the party to another level!

Congratulations Alyssa and Mark!!!

Beauty, lace and love at Villa Amor!

Last month Kim and Theo and their family and friends traveled down to Sayulita for their beautiful wedding at Villa Amor. This is one of my favorite places to shoot in Sayulita, the reception takes place at the top of the hill at La Gran Villa with a breathtaking view of all of town and the ocean, and of course the always wonderful wedding planner Karen Ruezga did a fantastic job.  Kim has such a great sense of style, the lace dress she chose was stunning, and the amazing flowers by Flor Mimo had color and texture and tied the look together. Their bridal party was a blast to shoot and the guests partied all night long!

Congrats Kim & Theo!!

Candy & Mike’s fun wedding day in Litibu!

Candy and Mike left cold Canada to come to sunny Mexico for their intimate wedding at the Iberostar, a beautiful all inclusive resort in Litibu. One of the things I love about shooting small destination weddings is the amazing vibe it creates when everybody feels such a part of the big day. Mike and Candy are a really fun, non traditional couple and wanted to make sure that we captured that in their photos, so we had a great time playing around on the beach after the ceremony and got some great shots!

Congrats Mike and Candy!!

Ashley & Jonathan’s Sayulita wedding

The beginning of the month Ashley and Jonathan and their family and friends traveled down here to Sayulita to celebrate and have a fiesta! Coordinated by the wonderful Yazmin of Sea of Dreams Weddings and beautiful flowers by Francisco Salazar, and held at the stunning Don Pedro’s Palapa,  this was a fun filled and gorgeous wedding! The touching ceremony was officiated by the bride’s uncle, and there were tears all around. The bride looked beautiful, the groom was handsome, the mariachi band was hopping and the tequila was flowing, just another perfect Sayulita wedding!

Congratulations Ashley & Jonathan!
