A few weeks ago I got a very interesting phone call. Jeff and Angela were coming to Sayulita for a vacation and he was planning on proposing at the beginning of the trip. My first thoughts were that he wanted me to shoot the proposal, boy was I wrong! LOL. He told me that he wanted to propose, and then tell her that if she wanted to elope he had everything set up for them to get married in Mexico. I knew he was going to pop the question on a Monday evening, and I got an email later that night telling me that she said yes, to both the engagement and the wedding! I met this amazing couple the next evening and then spent the next few days helping them put together a wedding that was to take place in just a few days! Of course being a girl, my first thought was the dress 🙂 We found the absolute perfect dress for Angela, and she looked stunning on her wedding day (and Jeff didn’t look to bad himself!) Ella Leyva created wedding perfect hair for the bride and Mireya at Flor Mimo designed a bright and vibrant bouquet. We roamed around town getting some beautiful photos of the couple, and then headed to an amazing very private beach for the ceremony. My friend Gabbi officiated, and he was the perfect choice for the role for this fun and funky couple! I have shot hundreds of weddings over the years, but this one was really special to be able to be a part of. Love you guys!
Congratulations Angela & Jeff 🙂
A couple weeks ago family and friends flew down to sunny Sayulita Mexico to celebrate Karissa and Paul’s fun beach wedding. They had a great turnout of people coming from all over, and the day flowed beautifully (even with their last minute approach to planning! LOL) Karissa looked stunning in her dress, and since the name of the dress happened to be the name of the house they were staying in down here it appeared to be fate! They had a touching ceremony on the beach and then moved on to the party at La Terrazola. The flowers for the reception and the ceremony were perfect and done by the always wonderful Mirella at Flor Mimo. And I have to say, Paul’s brother gave one of the funniest speeches I have ever heard at a wedding (and I have heard a lot!!) This was a great group of people and a blast to photography.
Congrats Karissa & Paul!!
Last month I went back to beautiful Sayulita for the beginning of the wedding season, and Aaron & Rebecca were my first wonderful wedding of the winter! It was a small intimate group setting which is my favorite for destination weddings. Just their closest friends and family to celebrate the beautiful day! The wedding took place at Villa Del Corazon which is a beautiful villa fittingly filled with hearts all over the architecture and decor! And it was helped put together by Cecila & Roberto from Sabor con Magia. It was a fun group and we got some wonderful photos!
Congratulations Aaron & Rebecca!
A few weeks ago I went up to Tahoe to shoot the wedding of Eren & Nick. Even though it was snowing the next day, the day of the wedding was sunny, warm and absolutely beautiful. This was an intimate celebration with their closets family and friends. And for me marked a first time in my photography career, I can now say I have shot the weddings of both the mother AND the daughter! (not on the same day of course! lol) It was a day filled with love and some beautiful Day of the Dead decor, lots of fun! Congratulations Eren & Nick.
A few weeks ago was Rina & Michael’s wedding day. We lucked out with the most perfect weather, not too hot and with a refreshing breeze. The wedding was held at The Carneros Inn in Napa. This venue was wonderful! The grounds were really beautiful, with lots of great spots for us to take photos in, and the staff was really amazing. They definitely helped Rina & Michael put together a most perfect day. It was a very touching ceremony at the apple orchard, and then the wedding party moved onto the party!! The bride and groom had some speciality cocktails waiting for the guests, and a family style dinner. And then the sunset came, which blew everything away! It was a truly spectacular site, and we took advantage of it to get some stunning photos. The bride and groom then got the party started with a Jerry Garcia cover band (and since I was a deadhead, I loved it!) The whole room was up and dancing 🙂
Congratulations Rina & Michael!!
